Description

Concrete_Blend_10mm_new_rotatedWhat is concrete blend?

Concrete blend is a pre-mixed blend of Fine washed river sand and 10mm drainage gravel.  We blend it in our yard to the correct ratios so it is ready for you to use.  No need for you to buy sand and gravel seperately and mix it at home.

What are it's uses?

Concrete blend can be used for any of your concreting jobs around the home, such as:  Garden edging, slabs, fence posts, footings, etc.

How do I calculate how much I need?

Measure the area you need to concrete.  Say for example, you are going to concrete a slab for your garden shed and the area is 2m long by 1.5m wide by 100mm deep.  The calculation would be:

Formula:  Length (m) x Width (m) x Depth (m) = m3

2 x 1.5 x 0.100 = 0.3

That means that you require 1/3m3 of concrete blend for your slab.

How much cement to I need?

Use the chart below as a guide. Work out how much concrete blend you need, find the job you are completing on the chart and match up how much cement you require for that job.  Simple!

Still using the example above, the slab for the garden shed would be 'general use'.  This would mean that you require 5 x 20kg bags of cement and you mix it at a ratio of 6.5 : 1.  That is 6.5 shovels of concrete blend to 1 shovel of cement.
